about me

My name is Oana Elena Hreapca, and I was born in Romania on july 4,1982. Since I was a child I was known for my strengh and solid build. I began my career in athletics at the age of 13. One-by-one, I engaged in many engaged in many different sports, including: the javelin, shot put, and hammer throw. I won many trophies at the junior level.
After years of competing in various strength sports, I went to to school to study physical education. I studied about all sports, and meanwhile I started to practice weighlifting, as a friend of mine believed I possessed a real potential to compete in this arena. With my background in strength sports, I moved up through the ranks of other competitors rather quickly. Within 6 months I became Romanian National Champion; beating other girls who had been competing in weighlifting for many years.

Shortly thereafter, I started to practice bodybulding. At first, I did so to improve my weightlifting abilities, but soon realized that I liked bodybuilding more than weighlifting, even though I had performed so well as a weighlifter.
At 20 years of age, I started to practice bodybuilding pretty seriously. While I realized that I didn’t possess the perfect bone structure for bodybuilding, I had a deep drive to change my body, and did so with time. With hard work and devotion, my physique began changing, and became better, and better every day. And my God how I loved these changes I experienced.

In 2006, my dream came true as I became Champion of Romania. I remember crying tears of happiness onstage. But this was just the beginning of a new level for me. I’ve become even more determinated and work harder than ever before. I train my heart out, in hopes that one day I will be the best female bodybuilder in the world.
